Naas 12th February

Feigh (Paul) goes for the 2 mile 4YO novice hurdle. She jumped better when second at Fairyhouse last time and she seems to be improving. Hopefully, she will get into the money again today.

Hi Ho Phoenix (Paul) runs in the 2m 3f auction novice hurdle. He won a maiden over 2m 7f at Fairyhouse in December and the drop back in trip here is not ideal. This is a competitive race and a first four finish would be good.

Brooklynn Glory (Paul) goes for division one of the 2 mile maiden hurdle. She held every chance when she fell at the last at Fairyhouse last month and hopefully that fall hasn’t affected her confidence. If she jumps well today she won’t be far away at the business end.

Goven (Mark Walsh) runs in division two. He showed improvement when second at Punchestown last time and he has been working well at home since. We will be disappointed if he fails to shed his maiden tag today.

Whiskey Lullaby (Kieran Callaghan) runs in the 2 mile opportunity handicap hurdle. He won a 2m 6f chase last time and, while this trip is on the short side for him, we think he is well handicapped over hurdles. He has to shoulder top weight but we think he will go close.

Elimay (Mark Walsh) goes for the listed mares chase over 2 miles. She is a course and distance winner and is well suited by these race conditions. She has an obvious chance and should get back to winning ways here.

We have two runners in the 3 mile hunters chase. Billaway (Patrick) is coming back a bit quickly after finishing second at Thurles a couple of weeks ago but he is in good form at home and a win here would set him up nicely for Cheltenham. He has won twice over this course and distance and we are hoping for the best again today. Good Bye Sam (Elliot Ohgren) finished second in a point to point but this is a big step up in class. He needs some racecourse experience before going to the Punchestown Festival.
