We have two runners making their hurdling debuts in the 2m 4f maiden hurdle. Kottayam (Danny) won a flat maiden at Tramore last time and will handle this ground. He jumps well and the trip will suit. Spread Boss Ted (Paul) is also a good jumper and will make a nice chaser in the future. He was second to No Risk No Fun in a bumper at Galway last time and is a lovely prospect for novice hurdles over the winter.
We also have two in the valuable handicap hurdle over 2 miles. Farout (Paul) hasn’t been running well lately but has good form around this track. He made a bad mistake when going well in a good novice hurdle here last year and if back to that form today he will go close. Dads Lad (Brian Hayes) has been running well all summer and has a lovely racing weight here. He has a good each-way chance.
Mi Lighthouse (Paul) goes for the 2m 6f handicap chase. She will like this trip and ground but was disappointing at Killarney last time. We are hoping she will do a lot better today.
Fun Fun Fun (Patrick) makes her debut in the mares bumper. She is a real summer type filly who has a good staying pedigree. Hopefully, she might keep up Patrick’s good recent run in bumpers.
