Paul Marvel (Kieran Callaghan) makes his debut in the 2 mile maiden hurdle. He is a fine big chasing type who will probably find this trip too short. We will know more about him after today. Dinoland is third reserve. He didn’t show a lot on his first run in a bumper at Fairyhouse earlier this month and might need summer ground to be seen at his best. He will get some useful jumping experience here.
We have Blizzard Of Oz (Patrick) and Captain Cody (Jody Townend) in the bumper. They were both placed in a bumper at Punchestown last time with Captain Cody finishing just ahead of Blizzard of Oz. Patrick sticks with Blizzard Of Oz who should benefit from a change of tactics today which might enable him to finish ahead of Captain Cody this time.
