Limerick 27th March

Double Talkin Jive (Danny) runs in division 2 of the maiden hurdle over 2m 3f. He fell two out on his hurdling debut in The Nice Guy’s race at Naas. This trip could be a bit far but we need to get him out. He will handle the ground.

Gjoumi (Danny) goes for the 2 mile mares hurdle. While she won impressively over 2 miles at Gowran last time her pedigree shouts stamina. The drying ground will suit and all going well she should at least finish in the first three. We’ll probably be more adventurous and campaign her over longer distances after today.

Egality Mans runs in the grade 3 novice chase over 3 miles. Danny gave him a good ride to win at Wexford last time and he keeps the ride here. It does look like a very competitive race but he has every chance.

We run two in the Listed Bumper. We didn’t send Mercurey (Patrick) to Cheltenham but we have had this race in mind for him for a while. He is nicely bred from a French jumping family and was very impressive when winning on soft ground on his debut at Gowran. He has a lot of scope for improvement. Today’s drying ground is not ideal but we have to take our chance. Impulsive Dancer (Jody Townend) was acquired for the yard by Simon Munir and Isaac Souede after winning easily at Naas on soft ground. While this better ground might not suit, his pedigree suggests it shouldn’t be a problem. He works very well at home and should run a big race.
