Uncle Phil (Bryan Cooper) makes his hurdling debut in the 2 mile maiden hurdle. He jumps well at home and will like this flat track. He disappointed a little when second in a bumper at Bellewstown last time but we are hoping he can get back on course here.
We run two in the 2m 6f handicap hurdle. Finest Evermore (Danny) was running very well at Galway when he made a bad mistake and pulled up. He will like this trip and if he jumps fluently he might be hard to beat even with top-weight. Berkshire Royal (Jack Foley) ran on the flat at Tramore last week and just hasn’t returned to his best form yet. However, he will really appreciate this trip.
We have three runners in the 2m 4f novice chase. Ganapathi (Bryan Cooper) ran well over 2m 2f at Galway and might be better suited by this longer trip. The ground will be okay for him and we are expecting a very good run. Authorized Art (Danny) won over a similar trip at Limerick last time and should go well again here. Rambranlt’jac (Brian Hayes) was good when winning over 2m 6f at Galway but coming back in trip here mightn’t suit.
We have two in the 2m 4f handicap chase. Rock Road (Brian Hayes) was very impressive over hurdles at Galway and is improving all the time. Going back over fences here isn’t a problem and hopefully he can add to his winning tally today. Mi Lighthouse (Jack Foley) has won her last two but dropping back in trip today isn’t ideal. However, with the help of her rider’s claim she might bring home a good share of the prize money.
Follow The Brave (Jody Townend) goes for the winners’ bumper. He won well at Ballinrobe but will need to show further improvement if he is to beat Marine Nationale who looked very good when winning at Punchestown.
