We have two runners in the 2m 2f handicap chase. Pont Aven (Danny) seemed to resent a first-time hood when pulling up at Leopardstown last time. A repeat of the form that saw him finish second in the Dan Moore Chase at Fairyhouse in January would put him right in the mix today. Fan De Blues (Brian Hayes) continues to disappoint on the racecourse compared to the work he does at home. Hopefully he will show some improvement here.
We also run two in the Tetratema Cup Hunters Chase over 3m 1f. Bellow Mome (Patrick) was second in a point to point last time and will handle this ground. He has his chance. Dragon D’estruval (Tom Hamilton) won’t like these demanding ground conditions.
