Fairyhouse 29th January

We have two in the 2m 5f beginners chase. Bacardys (Paul) has plenty of experience and would win this on his best form. However, he has a habit of putting in the odd mediocre jump and needs to improve in that department. If he does he should go very close. Egality Mans (Danny) needs to improve a fair bit to win this and might be best watched today.

We run four in the Solerina Mares Novice Hurdle over 2m 2f. Allegorie De Vassy (Sean O’Keeffe) was very impressive over the course and distance last time and her French experience could be crucial over the last two flights. She will be a danger to Brandy Love who was also impressive when winning at Naas. Paul had a difficult choice between the two but has opted for Brandy Love. Braganza (Danny) jumped better at Thurles last time but ran too free. Danny will concentrate on settling her today but she has a tough task. Grangee (Bryan Cooper) was disappointing at Leopardstown over Christmas so we will try a change of tactics today to see if that makes a difference.

Ha D’or (Paul) runs in division one of the 2 mile maiden hurdle. His form is good enough to win this but he is his own worst enemy being too keen in his races. If Paul can settle him and harness his power for the second half of the race he would have every chance.

Micro Manage (Paul) goes for division two. Like Ha D’or, he is too keen and needs to learn to settle. He also needs to jump better but has plenty of ability if he can put everything together.
