We have two runners in the Grade 3 Juvenile Hurdle over 2 miles. Icare Allen (Mark Walsh) was fifth behind Vauban in a Grade 1 at Leopardstown three weeks ago. He made a mistake at the first and things didn’t happen for him after that. We are drawing a line through that run and we expect him to get back on track here. Vadaly (Paul) was eight in that Leopardstown race. She ran too free so we will change tactics with her today. Hopefully, she will put together a proper run here.
Burrows Saint (Paul) goes for the Bobbyjo Chase over 3m 1f. The race conditions suit but the soft ground isn’t ideal. However, he was second in this race last year and we will be disappointed if he doesn’t go one better this time around.
Recite A Prayer (Paul) runs in the 3m 1f novice chase. He will be suited by this trip but he has been disappointing and would need to improve a fair bit to have any chance.
What Path (Patrick) makes his debut in the bumper. He is a fine type by Coastal Path who is fit and well and hopefully will give a good account. However, we are concerned that this ground might just be too soft for him.
