We have three runners in the 2m 4f maiden hurdle. Aione (Danny) won his bumper in good style at first time of asking and is a good straightforward jumper. He has been doing everything right at home and we are expecting him to go very close here. Ego Des Mottes (Mark Walsh) has been disappointing but this trip and trip might be a help. Zenon (Mikey Fogarty) is another who has been disappointing but we are hoping that he can show some improvement over this longer trip.
Drury (Danny) goes for the mares novice hurdle over 2m 2f. She won her maiden over 2m 5f at Punchestown but the drop back in trip today is not ideal. However, she is improving all the time and should give a good account of herself.
We run three in the 2m 5f beginners chase. Castlebawn West (Mikey Fogarty) will like the ground and trip and has jumping experience which could be vital. Coquin Mans (Danny) is making his chasing debut but has schooled well. He will like the trip and ground and with a clear round could be hard to beat. Harrie (Katie O’Farrell) is a lovely big chasing type who will like this trip but lacks jumping experience.
Fais Ton Chemin (Patrick) makes his debut in the bumper. He is a fine big chasing type who will be suited by this drying ground. Hopefully he will run well.
