We have two runners in the Irish Cesarewitch over 2 miles. Royal Illusion (Joey Sheridan) won this race last year but has a lot more weight to carry this time. However, she is in great form and should improve from her run at Leopardstown over 1m 4f last month. We are hoping for a big run here. Kaatskill Nap (Shane Foley) is in good order but we are a little worried about the ground for him.
We also have two runners in the Amateur Riders Derby over 1m 4f. Mt Leinster (Patrick) won nicely at Listowel last time and is really well suited by these race conditions. He will handle the ground and this could be a nice opportunity. Legal Spin has been disappointing lately but with Jody’s 7lb claim he could possibly be good each-way value.
