7 Dec 2019 Race Previews

Quartz Du Rheu (Barry Geraghty) goes for the 2 mile rated novice hurdle. He ran disappointingly at Naas last time so we are dropping our sights here. Hopefully he will go close.

Andalusa (Brian Hayes) runs in the 2m 3f handicap hurdle. She has had a few problems and this is her first run back since Kilbeggan last April. Hopefully she will run respectably.

We have four in the John Durkan Chase over 2m 4f. Min (Paul) won this race last year and we think he is in good order for this repeat attempt. He should take all the beating. Duc Des Genievres (Robbie Power) disappointed on his first run back at Navan last month and this race will help give him some more practice. Real Steel (Patrick) won well in Down Royal last time and will be suited by the ground, trip and track today. This is a step up in class but we think he deserves to take his chance. Voix du Reve (Brian Hayes) is having his first run of the season and this will give us an idea where we are going with him.

Breaken (Paul) makes his chasing debut in the 2 mile beginners chase. He jumps well and if he can transform his best hurdling form to this discipline he should go very close.
