30 Dec 2017 Race Previews

Augustin (Paul) makes his chasing debut in the 3m 1f beginners chase. He jumps very well and this looks to be his game. He will love the trip and the ground and should run a big race.

Killultagh Vic (Paul) returns to the track after nearly two years off in the 2m 4f hurdle. We thought that a run over hurdles would be his best introduction back to the track. His best performance over hurdles was when winning a grade one over this track and we think he is in good enough form to do himself justice today.

Msassa (Paul) has his first run for us in the 3yo maiden hurdle over 2 miles. He finished fourth over hurdles in France and that experience will be valuable here. He will go on the ground and hopefully he will run as well as the other two 3-year-olds that we have run so far this season.

We have two runners in the 2m 4f handicap hurdle. Camelia de Cotte (Niall Kelly) has been disappointing but we are hoping she might improve and regain some of her best form. We are not sure how Steel Wave (Paul) will handle these testing conditions but he did run very here over 3 miles last time when the ground was very soft. The drop back in trip today will be a help.

Ifyoucatchmenow (David Dunsdon) has her first run for us in the mares’ bumper over 2m 2f. She is a half-sister to Ballyward and will love this ground. She is in very good form and stays well. She has won a point to point and must have every chance here.
