We have four runners in the Champion Novice Hurdle over 2 miles. Getabird (Paul) is in good form since returning to his best form at Fairyhouse and the rain this morning will enhance his chance. Sharjah (Patrick) will like this track but might find the ground a little dead. Whiskey Sour (David Mullins) is in good form and will like the ground. Draconien (Noel Fehily) ran very well at Fairyhouse last time and Noel felt he would have finished closer if he had know the horse better.
We run six in the 2 mile handicap hurdle. Lagostovegas (David Mullins) is big enough to shoulder top weight but would prefer better ground. Bunk Off Early (Robbie Power) is reverting to hurdles here and will appreciate this trip. Nessun Dorma (Paul) was running well when he fell in Fairyhouse and this track and ground will suit him better. Low Sun has a tough task with his penalty but maybe Katie’s claim will work again. True Self (Rachael Blackmore) has a nice light weight and will be suited by this track. Pietralunga (Danny Mullins) has bottom weight but needs to to find her best form to figure here.
We have three in the Champion Chase over 2 miles. Douvan (Paul) seems in great form since Cheltenham and has schooled well. We think he has a big chance. Min (David Mullins) should go well if this is not coming too soon after Aintree. Un De Sceaux (Patrick) had a tough race at Fairyhouse but could get some place money here. Ballycasey (Danny Mullins) always runs well and it would be great if he could run into a place.
Think Positive (Patrick) runs in the Land Rover Bumper. His English run might not be good enough here so we are more hopeful than confident.
We have three in the Champion Novice Chase. Al Boum Photo (Paul) seems in good form but it will be tough to come back after a hard race in Fairyhouse. Invitation Only (David Mullins) might improve his jumping over this trip and with the slower pace. Rathvinden (Patrick) will love the ground and trip and has every chance.
