13 Dec 2015 Race Previews

Balko Des Flos (Bryan Cooper) makes his hurdling debut in the 2 mile maiden hurdle. He won bumpers at Leopardstown and Sligo and we think he will handle this ground and the track. This is a very hot race but we are expecting him to give a good account of himself.

We have two runners in the Grade 2 Novice Hurdle over 2m 4f. Bellshill (Ruby) was very impressive over 2 miles at Cork last time and should have no problem with this longer trip. As a Champion Bumper winner it is hard to look beyond him here. Stone Hard (Jacques Ricou) will go on the ground and has done very little wrong so far. He is certainly not without his chance today.

Aminabad (Niall Kelly) runs in the 2m 4f Grade B Handicap Hurdle. He will love this trip and the ground and, with his rider’s valuable 7lb claim, he should go close.

McKinley (Bryan Cooper) makes his chasing debut in the beginners chase over 2m 1f. He schools well and will love the ground. If he can adapt to fences, his hurdle rating should be good enough to see him very much involved at the business end.

Babbling Stream (Patrick) goes for the Listed Bumper. He ran out at Punchestown last time but going left-handed here should be a big help. We are going to fit different tack today in the hope that will also make a difference. This is a hugely competitive contest but we are hoping for a very respectable run.
