Great White Shark (Paul) runs in the 2 mile mares maiden hurdle. She is taking a while to adapt to hurdling but is learning all the time. She was way too keen at Navan but still finished second. This nice ground will suit.Elite Charboniere (Ruby) goes for the 2m 4f maiden hurdle. He was very disappointing when finishing down the field at Leopardstown over Christmas. We have changed a few things with him since but he might be better watched today.
We have three in the 2 mile novice hurdle. Cash Back (Paul) knew his job and was impressive when winning his maiden at Thurles last month. He looks to have great potential as a future chaser. Mister Blue Sky (Ruby) will improve from his second at Naas last time. He will like this ground. Roll Again (Danny) looks more a chaser than a hurdler even though he won a hurdle at Down Royal last month.
We run four in the 2m 4f novice hurdle. Ruby has picked Easy Game who didn’t enjoy his trip to Cheltenham. This trip suits and his previous form is very good. Castlebawn West (Danny) is on a retrieval mission after pulling up in the Ballmore at Cheltenham. He will like this trip and ground. Harrie (Paul) fell at Thurles last time but has been going well at home since. It would be great if he can continue Paul’s great run. Voix Des Tiep (Brian Hayes) will improve from his maiden win at Gowran but the ground might be getting too dry for him.
We have three in the mares listed bumper. Patrick has chosen Yukon Lil. She was disappointing at Navan last time but we think a lot of her and she will love this ground. She won over this track last Easter so we know she likes the track. Queens Boulevard (Lisa O’Neill) appears to have completely lost her form but maybe she might manage to get some black type here. Colreevy (Declan Lavery) is a good mare but she has had some training problems and has not run since easily beating Black Tears at the Punchestown Festival. She is also a course and distance winner here.
