We have two runners in the 2 mile novice hurdle. Babbling Stream (Paul) finally came good when winning a maiden hurdle with ease at Naas last month but needs to improve again to win this. We are fitting a tongue strap on Royal Caviar (Ruby) which should help but realistically he has it all to do to reverse Naas placings with Sutton Place.
We also have two in the 2m 6f handicap hurdle. Tarabiyn (Paul) has been disappointing of late but he will appreciate this drier ground. Isleofhopendreams (Ruby) returned to the track after two years off to finish a good third over 2 miles at Navan last month. He will be much more at home over this trip and we are expecting him to go close.
Uranna (Ruby) goes for the 2m 4f mares chase. She has been running very consistently and will like this trip and ground. She has a lot to do to beat the English runner Emily Gray on official ratings but we will be disappointed if she doesn’t go close.
Blow By Blow (Patrick) runs in the winners’ bumper. He was second on his debut at Punchestown and then improved to win impressively at Navan next time. We think he can improve further and he will need to in this hot contest.
