We have two runners in the 2m 5f beginners chase. Allblak Des Places (Ruby) has had a few training problems but is ready to run now. This is his chasing debut but he has jumped well at home. Real Steel (Paul) was still going well when he fell at the last in a beginners chase at Leopardstown over Christmas. He has schooled well since and seems to have his confidence back. With a clear round of jumping he should be hard to beat here.

Robin De Carlow (Ruby) goes for the 2m 2f novice hurdle. She was disappointing in heavy ground at Cork last time but hopefully she can resume winning ways on this nicer ground. This trip might be a little on the short side but that shouldn’t be too much of an inconvenience.

We run two in division one of the 2 mile maiden hurdle. Westport Lady (Ruby) likes going right-handed and was second here last time. She should improve from that run and has a good chance today. Fenta Des Obeaux (Paul) has a wonderfully light weight and with the experience of her last run must have a great chance.

Stones And Roses (Ruby) runs in the second division. He ran a solid enough race last time but will have to improve a lot to get involved here.

Miss Shoe City (Paul) goes for the 2m 4f maiden hurdle. The race conditions suit and she will get her ground. She is fit and well and we are expecting a very good run.

Eight And Bob (Liam Gilligan) runs in the 3 mile handicap hurdle. He has been very consistent and maybe Liam and his 4lb claim will work the oracle here.
