3 Nov 2018 Race Previews

We have two runners in the 3 mile listed Novice Hurdle. Getareason (Ruby) was disappointing when fourth over 2m 5f at Limerick a couple of weeks ago. This longer trip will suit and we might try different tactics here. Hopefully, that will make a difference and bring about the required improvement. On the other hand, Robin De Carlow (Paul) won at the same Limerick fixture. That was over 2m 6f and she will also appreciate the step up in trip today. She will like this track and she is well treated by the race conditions.

Robin Des Foret (Ruby) goes for the Grade 3 Novice Chase over 2m 4f. He was second over this trip at Tipperary last month and we are hoping he will go one better here. He will like the ground and is in good form.

Minella Beau (Ruby) runs in the Cork Grand National over 3m 4f. We wouldn’t normally run a novice in a race like this so early in the season but this trip will really suit and he is a very good jumper. He should go very well.

We have two in the mares’ winners bumper. Patrick has elected to ride Royal Illusion who was very green when winning first time out at Punchestown last month. She should improve a lot for that race and we are hoping she can win again. Northern Belle (Billy Gleeson) was also a first time out winner at Clonmel but she will have to step up a bit if she is to win this.
