We have eight runners in the valuable 2m 6f handicap hurdle. Meri Devi (Niall Kelly) works very well at home and came right at Punchestown in April. She has a lot of weight here but Niall’s 5lb claim will be a big help. Bargy Lady (David) won well at Killarney over this trip and is an improving sort. She will be suited by the track and trip. Low Sun (Katie O’Farrell) gave Katie a great day out at Fairyhouse and then ran well for her at Punchestown. The step up in trip here will suit and he has his chance. Uradel (Paul) won the Amateur Handicap here on Monday and has come out of that race well. He has a great chance here if Monday’s exertions didn’t take too much out of him. Timi Roli (Danny) will handle the track and ground and we think the longer trip will also be to his advantage. Court Artist (Brian Hayes) is not the biggest filly and could find it tough in such a competitive handicap. Shanning (Ruby) won here in October and is still a very unexposed mare. She has a lovely weight and if her lack of experience doesn’t tell against her she must have a major chance. Lareena (Mark Enright) will be suited by the trip and her light weight. Mark has been placed on her before and will know her better now.
Suinda (Aubrey McMahon) makes her hurdling debut in the 2 mile maiden hurdle. She jumps well at home and will like the ground. She lacks experience but Aubrey has schooled her and he rides Galway well.
Miss Chevious Girl (Patrick) makes her debut in the bumper. She is a lovely mare by Presenting and is in good order. She is a real bumper type and hopefully she will add to Patrick’s good run this week.
